I was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. I undertook my schooling from Wendy School and Seth Anandram Jaipuria School in Kanpur and then from Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi.
After my graduation in 2007, have worked in premium law firms in India in the field of corporate law. Currently I have an independent legal practice. I have appeared in various High Courts including Delhi High Court, Allahabad High Court, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Bombay High Court and The Supreme Court of India.

I am an Advocate. I studied at National Law University, Jodhpur where I did integrated law with management with honours in corporate law.
I(Sushmit Mishra) intend to continue the legacy of serving the society and am passionate about spreading the reach of formal education while pursuing my interests in international relations and law.
I am the Chairman of The International Centre, Kanpur. I am also the President of The International Centre English School (K-12 C.B.S.E. School) as well as the President of Prof. H. N. Mishra College Of Education (Govt. Aided College) in Kanpur.
I belong to a family of educationists and civil servants. I am the grandson of Prof. H.N. Misra, an acclaimed freedom fighter who had been imprisoned by the British and who in 1929, founded and was the Secretary of the first Youth League of North India, along with Shri Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi, who was its President. Prof. H. N. Misra was also the Vice Chancellor of Kanpur University.
My father late Sushil Kant Misra, a 1980 batch IRS officer, served as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.
